Chapter Elections

 

The NSBE Chicago Professionals wants you to be apart of our outstanding legacy!  For more than 30 years, the chapter has blazed a path of leadership, love for community, and excellence.  The chapter has won numerous awards in recent years including best Region IV PCI, Collegiate Initiative, Professional Development programs and Chapter of the Year!

 

Looking to help lead the charge? Play a part of growing the most dynamic NSBE Professionals chapter in the country and apply for a board position.  If you are interested in enhancing your leadership skills, deepening your network, and positively impacting our community, we encourage you to apply! 

 

The Chapter is holder interim elections to fill important positions** of need  for the remainder of the term, which goes to August 2027.

 

** All positions are listed below, but those highlighted in gold are those available to apply for in these interim elections. 

  • President - manages the mission and the vision of the chapter, oversees the admin zone, and increases partnerships and funding on all levels. (minimum time commitment 5 - 10 hrs/week)
     

  • Vice President - manages membership and the membership committee, serves as parliamentarian and handles presidential duties if the president is unable to perform those duties. (minimum time commitment 3 - 5 hrs/week)
     

  • Secretary - manages all chapter communications, takes minutes at meetings, manages the Communications Zone (minimum time commitment 3 - 5 hrs/week)
     

  • Treasurer - manages the finances of the chapter, handles all payables and receivables, manages the grant writing process and manages the Finance Zone (minimum time commitment 4 hrs/week)
     

  • Director of Programs - manages PCI/NSBE Jr., Community Outreach, Collegiate Initiatives & Professional Development programs & events.  (minimum time commitment 3 - 5 hrs/week)
     

  • Director of PCI/NSBE Jr. - Coordinates NSBE Jr. Chapters, FLL, Ten 80 & Science Fair competitions and corresponding programs.  (minimum time commitment 3 - 5 hrs/week)
     

  • Director of Professional Development - develops PD events and study groups for certifications.(minimum time commitment 2 hrs/week)

  • Director of Collegiate Initiatives- manages the relationships with Chicagoland Collegiate NSBE Chapters. and supports their Chapter initiatives my mobilizing the Chicago Professionals (minimum time commitment 2 hrs/week) 

  • Director of Outreach- manages the relationships with our community partners and seeks out other organizations and businesses to partner with (minimum time commitment 3 hrs/week) 

  • Director of Finance - fund raises and develops other ideas to finance chapter programs and events. (minimum time commitment 3 hrs/week)
     

  • Director of Corporate Partnerships - manages relationships with corporate partners for funding programs and events (minimum time commitment 2 - 5 hrs/week)
     

  • Director of Public Relations - communicates chapter events and programs with the local & national members and media at large.  (minimum time commitment 2 hrs/week)
     

  • Director of Technology - manages website & email & coordinates event releases with social media chair and PR chair. (minimum time commitment 5 - 10 hrs/week)
     

  • Director of Social Media - manages the chapters social media offerings(YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, & LinkedIn) (minimum time commitment 3 - 5 hrs/week)

  • Director of Entrepreneurship- responsible for managing  all entrepreneurship programs, raising money for said programs, and managing relationships with local entrepreneurship accelerators, startup organizations, venture capitalists and angel investor partners.  (minimum time commitment 3 - 5 hrs/week)

The deadline to apply is July 14th, 2026 end of day. Candidates will have an opportunity to share their platform with the membership in the July 15th, 2026 General Body Meeting.
